All our members’ qualifications and relevant professional memberships are checked before they join SCPI. Most have considerable experience helping adults, adolescents, children, couples, families or groups. SCPI members have completed a variety of trainings. To get an idea of the way they work, check the principal orientation of the therapists who interest you.
Many of our members also offer clinical supervision to training and qualified colleagues. Clinical supervision is vital in providing oversight and developing professional skills. It is also a requirement of the various professional bodies regulating counsellors and psychotherapists – eg BACP, UKCP, BPC etc.
